LIONPRO Expands Access to Quality Feed Ingredients Through Rwanda Training Pilot
LIONPRO has successfully concluded the first phase of its farmer training and product awareness program in five districts of Rwanda – Muhanga, Ruhango, Huye, Bugesera, and Rwamagana. The initiative was designed to strengthen the livestock sector by providing hands-on support to farmers, veterinary professionals, and animal feed traders, improving productivity and contributing to national food security and economic growth.
During the program, more than 500 participants were trained on feed formulation techniques and the effective use of LIONPRO products. They were introduced to premium solutions such as Meat Bone Meal (MBM), Blood Meal (BM), and DCP/PCP mineral supplements. The sessions combined theory with practical demonstrations, allowing participants to actively practice feed formulation and learn how to create homemade concentrates using LIONPRO ingredients.

A key objective of this program was to ensure that LIONPRO products become accessible to all categories of farmers and feed sellers, including those in remote areas. Expanding product availability and building a stronger distribution network is essential for helping livestock producers improve productivity and profitability while positioning LIONPRO as a trusted partner in Rwanda’s agricultural sector.

This initiative is designed to create long-term impact. By equipping farmers and traders with technical knowledge and practical skills, LIONPRO is enhancing local advisory and coordination services, paving the way for sustainable investment and growth in the livestock industry for years to come.
